Mikro Dismembrator U and S
Brand : Sartorius
These ball mills most efficiently homogenise solid or frozen samples. Solid samples such as bone or deep-frozen tissue, e.g. from biopsies, are disintegrated to fine powder rapidly. Skin, hair, feathers, cartilage or other tough samples can all be disrupted.
Some Features
Ball mill for solid or frozen samples. Highest efficiency by top speed. Electronic control of speed and time
Description
Laboratory ball mills Mikro-Dismembrator U and Mikro-Dismembrator S are suited for disintegration and homogenisation of brittle, frozen or hard materials. Whereas the Mikro-Dismembrator U with its shaking frequency of 2.000/min is usable for most applications, the new Mikro-Dismembrator S laboratory ball mill with a maximum frequency of 3.000/min is especially well suited for fast homogenisation of samples frozen in liquid nitrogen, for instance biopsy materials taken for diagnostic purposes. This results in much faster isolation of DNA, RNA or proteins than with protocols involving manual grinding, thereby reducing the risk of sample degradation. Reproducibility of the disintegration process is guaranteed by digital control of shaking frequency and time. A complete line of shaking flasks and grinding balls is available, including adaptors for small disposable vessels and microplates.
